NATALIE VERDON, CEO

Natalie’s career has encompassed management consulting working for corporate, government and SMEs.  She managed her own consulting company for 15 years, supporting clients in business planning, process management and design thinking. Her work in customer service culminated in co-authoring the International Customer Service Standard (ICSS), the benchmark assessment framework for organisations undertaking certification.

A second-time company founder, Natalie is focused on the dual goals of exploiting the power of data-driven technology to reduce risk for councils and pedestrians, and to increase accessibility for those with mobility issues and footpath commercial vehicles.

Natalie is dedicated to building strategic partnerships across local governments, and the corporate sector specialising in navigation, precision technology and accessible routing. She is positioned to harness her extensive business experience and skills to develop products that are both rich in finding solutions to civic issues and addressing social equity challenges.

ECKHARD KEMMERER, PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

An indefatigable problem-seeker and solver, Eck’s expertise is firmly embedded in research and development, marketing, divisional management, board and chairmanships. A scientist background, he then moved into Marketing and R&D C-level roles in which he exercised his unique set of skills and discipline, successfully bringing new products and services to market resulting in multimillion dollar sales.

With over 30 years of experience in the innovation space, Eck’s pragmatic solutions are rooted in technical knowledge and creativity. His extensive engagement with the disability sector during five years of R&D prior to Briometrix has afforded him a deep understanding of the associated challenges of those with limited mobility, translating into valuable contributions to our hardware and software technology development. Specifically, Eckhard led the development of the Briometrix technology and analytics to measure footpath networks for equitable access infrastructure, transport and urban planning.

While Eck is an amateur comedian and sings in choirs, he can’t seem to stop designing solutions – evidenced by the development of a specially-weighted pen to assist writing capabilities for people like himself managing Parkinsons.

SCOTT CLIFTON, TECHNOLOGY

With a remarkable career in engineering products for industries including defence, automobile and aerospace/aeronautical, Scott is focused on the movement of vehicles – resolving issues brought on by distances, effort and sustaining power. Whether underwater tracking of submarines, drones in flight or working on an America’s Cup yacht – it’s all about position and movement.

Scott’s expertise with commercial vehicles in widely different environments is the reason he joined Briometrix – the fresh opportunity of resolving precision and accuracy challenges in GPS-degraded or denied areas typical in adverse city environments.

Scott leads the technology team and technology partner relationships. His previous experience ensures he understands the IP, design and financial balance of sourcing tech components and internal company development. Scott has held numerous roles including Vice-President Engineering and Director of New Products.

It’s the revolution in small wheels that Scott sees the huge potential for ‘that last mile’ in delivery systems and footpath networks that will change how we move and shop.

ROBERT CHRISTIE, SALES & MARKETING

Motivated by exceptional client-centric delivery, Robert draws on his considerable expertise in global sales and marketing to assist Briometrix to develop and promote an accessible ecosystem that improves the urban environment for people with limited mobility.  Robert thrives on collaboration, having successfully launched and sold products and services ranging from large, technically complex systems to independent specialist applications in sectors such as higher education, government, healthcare, transport, telcos, resources and defence.

With extensive experience from SaaS/Cloud applications and advertising platforms to engineering systems and project management tools, Robert’s public relations and sales/marketing strategies are informed by his deep understanding of local government and transport authorities’ strategic plans and challenges.

An innovator, an altruistic mentor, a conference speaker and chairman, Robert has over 20 published papers and has presented at over 70 events. His mission is to assist companies like Briometrix to grow and scale globally, while delivering value and impact to our clients and stakeholders.

ANDY BROWN, SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT USA

Based in Kansas City Missouri, USA, Andy’s multi-faceted professional experience underpins Briometrix’s business development focus in North America.  He has established six start-ups and held sales and or marketing roles in multiple companies – four of them new businesses which, under his direction, grew from start-up stage to burgeoning business development environments and were later sold.

Andy’s interest in the engineering and human performance led him to step in to his current role with Briometrix.  Excited by ever-evolving footpath data capture technology, he understands the challenges faced by stakeholders in the maintenance of footpath networks and actively seeks partnerships with US city councils, public works and transport authorities to ensure safe and accessible walking infrastructure for their communities.  His sound knowledge of US standards and regulations, pricing analysis and sales strategies positions him to successfully develop critical partnerships and negotiate global contracts.

Andy’s personal love of all things cycling and associated monitoring and performance devices related have served him well at Briometrix and within the cycling community.

MARK TOMKINS, ACCESSIBILITY SPECIALIST

As Briometrix’s Accessibility Specialist, Mark has been here from the start, bringing to the table an extensive range of experience and skills as both a wheelchair user and a qualified access and inclusion professional in both the government and corporate sectors.

Possessing a practical understanding of compliance and function, Mark’s qualifications in urban, rural and environmental planning and building auditing makes him a valuable asset to the Briometrix team. His multi-faceted role includes wheelchair piloting, training/mentoring other pilots, project-managing mobility map contracts, assisting with tech and assessment dataset development and presenting to key stakeholders on user-centric assessment.

Mark has completed over 50 surveys for the government and corporate sectors and has worked as a Planner and Access Advisor. He possesses a strong knowledge of both Australian and international standards and engages with an extensive network of field professionals across Australia.

A para-archery champion, Mark has received many distinguished sporting and leadership accolades.

JASON JONES, LEAD FIELD PILOT

A wheelchair user with hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP), Jason has been an integral team member from Briometrix’s inception.  He brings over 11 years of surveying expertise in foothpath assessments, strata surveys and design reviews, enriching Briometrix’s data collection/dissemination process. He is experienced in completing surveys for government, housing and industrial constructions, managing contracts, presenting plans to councils, reviewing documentation, performing equipment calibration and onsite stakeholder engagement. Jason’s strength lies in his ability to assess conditions and challenge current standards where a functionality review is required.

From the start he has contributed to the evolutionary shaping of the effort and connectivity datasets. As part of his field survey work, Jason engages with council stakeholders and disability community to deliver awareness sessions on the Briometrix surveying process.

Jason established a HSP group with the goal of helping others understand the condition and share ideas that have assisted building healthy habits. He cuts loose by racing slot cars

JACQUELINE COOK, CONTENT CREATOR

Jacq has been a passionate writer since childhood. Her early love for storytelling manifested at the age of 8 with the creation of poems and stories.” This ignited a lifelong pursuit of creative expression, characterised by cacoethes scribendi – an insatiable urge to write.

Jacq’s career has been a successful blend of screenwriting and literary pursuits, achieving recognition in the Australian film industry as an award-winning screenwriter. Her non-fiction book, The Real Great Escape, was published by Penguin Random House. Jacq’s extensive experience and skill in content creation fosters a strong collaborative spirit, making her a highly regarded member of the team.
