Footpath Assessments

Our footpath condition surveys provide your asset stakeholders with a solid grasp of the issues affecting the pathway network of your city.

Using standards such as AS1428 specifications and IPWEA condition rating guidelines, our exacting methods combined with our leading technology collects accurate, continuous metre-by-metre data. Incorporating cameras, the Briometrix proprietary sensor fusion technology integrates high resolution data, creating a comprehensive and accurate picture of the pedestrian environment, including asset condition, network useability and user effort.

Our field team records insights during the survey and reports on missing infrastructure.

Value to Council

The precision data capture ensures that the features and severity of identified footpath defects assist local government to make informed decisions to optimise maintenance, rehabilitation efforts and aid future planning – ultimately impacting favourably on Council’s budget.

Briometrix is in a unique position to provide you with accurate, multi-layered footpath assessments of your city.

FAQ's

The tools are very intuitive but don’t worry, we’ll train and support you through your data. The biggest advantage of the tools is that they are able to be used and understood by people with or without technical experience.

Our footpath assessment product reviews the pathways to amenities.

Kerb ramps are one of the highest risk areas for walking and wheeling pedestrians.  Compliance does not necessary capture this risk.  Safety and functionality is foremost in our decisions. We will also recommend if additional Kerbs are needed to support connectivity for wheeling pedestrians.

When you engage us to measure and map your streets and footpaths, you own any data that you gave us, and we own any data that we give you.  You have the right to use it in your applications, and we have the right to use it in our applications. We will give you a licence to use data and data fusions.  Our written permission is needed if you want to on-sell any data or data fusions that are generated by our technology.

The data is hosted on your own GIS system.  Briometrix has a hosting package where we will host the data and perform any footpath network updates to Master Map.

We have a partnership with ESRI ArcGIS.

So all the data we collect can be linked and embedded in your Asset Management Systems.

Our sensors were designed to performed in GPS degraded and denied areas.  This is one of the reasons we choose to work in high density cities pathways.

You can look at the progress of your footpath network over time, and choose to all  additional data layers to uncover new insights – weather, demographic, population etc.

Thats why we are here; asset condition audit is our fundamental first step. Next is the journey experience in terms of effort, connectivity and risk when travelling to key destinations
